About Our Product
This Sacred Manjushri Wisdom Buddha Statue is a finely handcrafted representation of Manjushri Bodhisattva, created by artist Amir Shakya in 2019. Made from an oxidized copper body, the sculpture features a rich dark finish that emphasizes the detailed carving across the crown, jewelry, garments, lotus throne, and flowing decorative elements. The elaborate crown, peaceful facial expression, layered necklaces, earrings, arm ornaments, and finely modeled lotus petals demonstrate the craftsmanship of Himalayan Buddhist sculpture.
Manjushri is depicted holding the flaming sword of wisdom (Khadga) in his raised right hand, representing the penetrating power of wisdom that cuts through ignorance, confusion, and delusion. His left hand is raised in a gesture of teaching or reassurance while supporting the stem of an Utpala lotus, upon which the Prajnaparamita Sutra is traditionally placed. The lotus symbolizes the blossoming of enlightened knowledge, while the sacred text represents the Perfection of Wisdom. His peaceful expression, elaborate crown, and seated posture reflect his association with wisdom, learning, insight, and enlightened understanding.

Introduction of Manjushri

As the Buddha Resplendent, he resembles a brilliant sun. Manjushri is also a Tibetan name meaning 'good companion.' He also represents the Kadampa Buddhist tradition, recognized by its scholars.
