About Our Statue:

This Historical Buddha Shakyamuni Statue depicts Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha whose teachings form the foundation of Buddhism. The sculpture presents him seated peacefully upon a lotus pedestal, reflecting the calm and contemplative nature traditionally associated with the Buddha. Measuring 14cm in height and 9cm in width, weighing 0.47 kg, the statue is crafted from brass.

Shakyamuni is shown in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, with his right hand reaching toward the ground while his left hand rests in meditation. This earth-touching gesture represents the moment of his awakening and his calling upon the earth as witness to his realization. His serene expression, elongated earlobes, curled hair, monastic robes, and carefully detailed lotus pedestal complete the traditional representation.

The brass surface gives the sculpture a warm, refined appearance while highlighting the engraved details of the robes and pedestal. Its compact size makes this Brass Shakyamuni Buddha Statue suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, prayer rooms, or personal collections of Buddhist art.

Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha:

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king following the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

• Handmade items may have slight variations

• Colors may differ slightly due to natural materials and lighting
