About Our Product
This statue features Shakyamuni Buddha seated in a peaceful meditation posture on a double lotus base. It measures 28 cm in height, 25 cm in length, and 18 cm in width, with a weight of 3.3 kg. Crafted from an oxidized copper body, the statue has a deep traditional finish that brings out the carved details of the robes, facial features, hair, and lotus petals. The robe is decorated with repeated engraved patterns, while the balanced seated form gives the sculpture a calm and sacred presence.
This statue features Shakyamuni Buddha seated in a peaceful meditation posture on a double lotus base. His right hand reaches downward in Bhumisparsha Mudra, the earth touching gesture connected with the moment of enlightenment, while his left hand rests in his lap in meditation, representing inner peace and concentration. He is shown with a calm face, elongated earlobes, curled hair, and an ushnisha at the top of the head. His monastic robe is decorated with detailed carved patterns and drapes naturally across the body. The lotus base beneath him represents purity and spiritual awakening. Shakyamuni Buddha represents wisdom, compassion, mindfulness, and the path toward enlightenment.
This Shakyamuni Buddha statue can be used for meditation, prayer, mindfulness, and daily Buddhist practice. It is suitable for a home altar, personal shrine, meditation room, Dharma center, monastery, yoga space, or spiritual collection. Its peaceful seated form can help create a calm setting for reflection, inner awareness, and the study of Buddhist teachings.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by his royal father's wishes and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).
