Divine Sacred Goddess Green Tara Thangka | Mother of All Buddhas
The carefully preserved, traditional Himalayan resources used to make the Sacred Goddess Green Tara thangka guarantee both artistic brilliance and religious authenticity. Skilled artists in the Kathmandu Valley hand-paint this thangka on handmade cotton canvas, which offers a sturdy and long-lasting substrate perfect for intricate sacred brushwork and long-lasting preservation. In order to ensure precise iconography, balanced proportions, and meditative clarity that improve visualization practice and devotional attention, the composition adheres to ancient Himalayan tradition. Green Tara's dazzling green figure, flowing clothing, lotus throne, and surrounding floral and landscape features all have depth due to the rich, vivid, and consistent tones created by acrylic paints. The halo, decorations, lotus seat, and sacred decorative details—which stand for enlightened activity, quick compassion, and spiritual protection—are expertly highlighted with genuine 24K gold.
Green Tara, also known as Shyamatara, is one of the most revered forms of the deity in the context of Tibetan Buddhism and is revered for her swift and compassionate protection. She is a deity of mercy and can vanquish fear and danger while providing immediate help to those who need it. She is depicted sitting on a lotus with one leg stretched out and can jump into action at a moment’s notice. Her association with the color green represents her deep association with the earth and her ability to remove obstacles with speed and efficiency. Her mantra is widely recited to seek her blessings and overcome physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. She represents the loving and compassionate aspect of Buddha’s wisdom and provides healing and peace to all who seek her blessings. Five Dhyani Buddha manifestations, organized in the composition's upper and side portions, encircle Green Tara. The five purified wisdoms—ignorance, anger, pride, desire, and jealousy—are symbolized by these Buddhas, who change them into enlightened awareness. The transformation of negative forces into protective energy is symbolized by the appearance of wrathful and semi-wrathful protective deities at the lower part.
