About Our Product
This Sacred Garuda Statue represents Garuda, a powerful mythical being revered in both Buddhist and Himalayan traditions as a symbol of protection, strength, and the overcoming of negative forces. Known as a powerful guardian figure, Garuda embodies fearless wisdom and the ability to rise above obstacles. This handcrafted sculpture measures 10cm in height and weighs 0.24 kg, featuring an oxidized copper body with silver plated details and acrylic coloring that enhance its powerful appearance.
The statue portrays Garuda in a dynamic and commanding form, with wide-spread wings, a fierce expression, and a flaming crown representing powerful enlightened energy. The detailed feathers across the expansive wings, sharp facial features, ornaments, and carefully sculpted body reflect traditional Himalayan artistic techniques. The expressive posture symbolizes Garuda’s ability to protect against harmful influences, while the raised wings represent freedom, spiritual elevation, and the triumph of wisdom over ignorance.
Crafted by skilled artisans, this Tibetan Garuda sculpture combines traditional metalwork with intricate finishing techniques. The oxidized copper surface creates a rich antique appearance, while the silver plated elements highlight the fine details of the deity’s ornaments and sacred form. Suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, spiritual collections, or as Himalayan sacred artwork, this Garuda Statue represents protection, courage, and the powerful energy of enlightened awareness.
Introduction of Garuda
In Buddhism, Garuda is depicted as a gigantic bird of prey, sometimes referred to as Suparna, which translates to 'good wings.' Like the Nagas, Garudas combine attributes of animals and sacred beings, ranking among the lowest of the Devas. They possess their own rulers and settlements, with some capable of transforming into human forms when interacting with people.
