About our Statue:
This Red Chenrezig with Vajrayogini Oxidized Statue measures 5.9” (15 cm) in height and 4.7” (12 cm) at the base and weighs 0.84 kg. Crafted from oxidized copper, it showcases traditional Nepali artistry with a rich, antique-like finish. This statue makes a meaningful addition to meditation spaces, altars, or spiritual collections, symbolizing deep compassion and transformative energy.
Chenrezig (Avalokiteshvara) is often shown with four hands, each telling a story of compassion and awakening. His upper right hand clasps a rosary (mālā), a symbol of endless prayer and kindness, while the upper left holds a blooming blue lotus (utpala), signifying purity and spiritual growth. The two middle hands come together in añjali mudrā, gently holding a cintāmaṇi—a wish-fulfilling jewel—reflecting his infinite compassion and desire to aid all beings. In contrast, Vajrayogini wields a vajra, representing unbreakable wisdom and skillful means, and a skull cup (kapala), transforming negativity into enlightened awareness. Together, these figures weave a tale of compassion, transformation, and profound insight.
Introduction to Chenrezig:
Chenrezig, also known as Avalokiteshvara, is the Bodhisattva of Compassion in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. His name means "The One Who Looks Down with Compassion," reflecting his role as the compassionate savior who hears the cries of all sentient beings and works tirelessly to relieve their suffering.
How do you take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by the Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
