Featuring a traditional Tibetan Buddhist ritual dagger design, this handcrafted Phurba displays a prominent wrathful skull-like face at the upper section, an elongated handle, and a pointed blade extending toward the base. The metallic surface features subtle variations in texture and tone, while the dagger is presented upright on a rectangular wooden stand decorated with carved patterns. Its distinctive appearance reflects the traditional artistic elements associated with Vajrayana Buddhist ritual implements.
This Buddhist Phurba Dagger features a wrathful skull-like head with deeply carved eye sockets, a pronounced brow, and exposed teeth, expressing the fierce protective character associated with tantric ritual imagery. Beneath the head, the elongated iron handle is decorated with two raised bands featuring intersecting carved patterns. The lower section transitions into a three-sided ritual blade, a characteristic feature of traditional Phurba daggers. In Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism, the Phurba, also known as a Kila, is a sacred ritual implement associated with Vajrakilaya, a wrathful meditation deity representing the transformation of obstacles and negative forces into enlightened awareness. Its three-sided blade traditionally symbolizes the overcoming of the three root poisons of ignorance, attachment, and aversion. The wrathful imagery represents protective spiritual activity and the determination to overcome obstacles on the path toward enlightenment. Phurbas are traditionally used in tantric ceremonies, protective rituals, and specific Vajrayana practices under appropriate guidance. This handcrafted iron Phurba can be placed on a Buddhist altar, in a meditation space, or displayed as part of a collection of traditional Himalayan ritual artwork.

The unique three-sided blade of this ceremonial dagger represents the victory over ignorance, desire, and aversion in Buddhism. Tibetan knives, which are adorned with elaborate carvings and frequently have a tripartite handle representing different gods, are an essential part of religious rites, ceremonies, and spiritual practices. The level of craftsmanship by the artisans with Evam Ratna is truly exceptional.. The photos on the website showcase these beautiful items, but the special quality of their presence is felt when beheld directly. When I opened the carefully constructed package and encountered the ghanta, vajra,, rupa, and damaru tassels directly, I was overjoyed. I could feel the heart and care that went into their creation.

The Manjushri statue I purchased is of very high quality and has tremendous presence on my altar, far exceeding my expectations. It was well packed and arrived surprisingly quickly. Evam Ratna kept me informed throughout the process and even shared additional photos before shipping to ensure I was aware that the statue had oxidized somewhat since the pictures on the site were taken (not an issue but really appreciate the transparency). The statue came in excellent condition! I was worried especially since I had it consecrated before shipping (which evamratna offers for a fee if you ask!) But the statue came perfectly. Also, it was way bigger than I anticipated which was a lovely surprise, because usually the statues come smaller than I thought when initially buying them. These statues are pricy, but I recommend having at least one in your collection if you can afford it. You’re also supporting local Nepalese craftsmen, and the price I find is reasonable for most people.
