This Palden Lhamo Wrathful Deity Statue is a handcrafted oxidized copper sculpture featuring 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic color work. The statue depicts Palden Lhamo in her powerful wrathful form, riding across a dynamic landscape surrounded by a beautifully carved flaming aureole. The combination of antique oxidized copper, radiant gold-plated details, and vibrant acrylic painting highlights the intricate craftsmanship of traditional Himalayan Buddhist metalwork.
Palden Lhamo is one of the most revered female protector deities in Tibetan Buddhism, representing enlightened protection and the overcoming of obstacles. She is traditionally shown riding side-saddle on a white mule across a sea of blood, with the mule marked by an eye on its left rump, a distinctive element from her traditional story. Her symbolic attributes include a skull cup (kapala), ritual club, necklace of fifty severed heads, and her fierce attendants Makaravaktra (crocodile-headed) and Simhavaktra (lion-headed), emphasizing her role as a powerful guardian of the Dharma.
