Oxidized Copper Medicine Buddha Statue
About Our Statue :
Our Oxidized Copper Medicine Buddha Statue is a handcrafted piece that exemplifies the marriage of traditional artistry and spiritual significance. This statue, made of high-quality copper with an oxidized finish, has a distinct, antique-like appearance that enhances the depth and texture of the depiction. The Medicine Buddha, known in Buddhist tradition for his association with healing, is depicted with meticulous attention to detail.
The oxidized copper finish not only gives the statue a distinct, venerable appearance but also highlights the intricate features of the Medicine Buddha, such as his calm expression and the symbolic medicinal bowl in his hand. This oxidation process ensures that each statue has its personality and patina, making it a one-of-a-kind addition to any collection or space.
Introduction To Medicine Buddha :
Medicine Buddha is referred to as the Buddha of Healing and is also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit. His teachings stress the desire to amass wealth and pleasure in this life while also working to relieve sentient beings from disease, pain, suffering, and misery. His healing prowess is admired by many Mahayana meditators. He is typically shown with a begging bowl and medicinal herbs while having a blue (lapis lazuli) body.

How do take care of your statues?
• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face.
• Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
