About Our Product
This Mythical Garuda Guardian Statue is a powerful symbol of protection, courage, and spiritual strength in the Himalayan Buddhist and Hindu traditions. Expertly handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, this sacred sculpture measures 13cm in height, 18.5cm in length, and 5.5cm in width, weighing 0.4kg. Crafted from a copper body and adorned with radiant 24K gold plating and vibrant acrylic colors, the statue showcases intricate details that celebrate the rich artistic heritage of Nepal. Its majestic appearance makes it a meaningful addition to Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, temples, or spiritual home décor, where it serves as both an inspiring work of art and a revered guardian figure.
The Garuda in the statue is depicted with spread wings, symbolizing power, speed, and freedom. His fiery crest and fierce expression represent his fiery nature and protective strength. The bird-like body reflects strength and vigilance, while his stance signifies readiness to protect and fearlessness. This iconography highlights Garuda’s role as a protector and guardian against evil forces.
Introduction of Garuda
In Buddhism, Garuda is depicted as a gigantic bird of prey, sometimes referred to as Suparna, which translates to 'good wings.' Similar to the Nagas, Garudas combine attributes of animals and sacred beings, ranking among the lowest of the Devas. They possess their own rulers and towns, and some have the magical ability to assume human forms when interacting with people.
