Mother of All Buddhas Green Tara Thangka | Shyama Tara | Compassionate Protector

Sacred Mother of All Buddhas Green Tara Thangka | Traditional Artwork

Enlightenment Studio's talented artisans carefully hand-painted this Mother of All Buddhas Green Tara thangka on handmade cotton canvas, utilizing traditional Himalayan techniques. Multiple layers of natural gesso are applied to the canvas to provide a smooth, long-lasting surface that is ideal for delicate iconography and elaborate brushwork. To create vivid, long-lasting colors that capture the deep greens of Tara's robes, lotus throne, and sacred decorations, natural stone pigments are used. Her crown, halo, and ornamental pieces are highlighted with genuine 24K gold to create a brilliant and auspicious shine. This thangka, which is painted according to the Karma Gadri tradition, blends spiritual symbolism with traditional Himalayan artistry to create a devotional masterpiece and a meditative focal point for developing protection, compassion, and enlightened blessings.

Green Tara, also known as Shyamatara, is one of the most revered forms of the deity in the context of Tibetan Buddhism and is revered for her swift and compassionate protection. She is a deity of mercy and can vanquish fear and danger while providing immediate help to those who need it. She is depicted sitting on a lotus with one leg stretched out and can jump into action at a moment’s notice. Her association with the color green represents her deep association with the earth and her ability to remove obstacles with speed and efficiency. Her mantra is widely recited to seek her blessings and overcome physical, emotional, and spiritual challenges. She represents the loving and compassionate aspect of Buddha’s wisdom and provides healing and peace to all who seek her blessings. Her figure represents the potential of compassion and awareness to overcome the obstacles of life.
