About Our Product

This Medicine Buddha Ghau Locket measures 7.5 cm in height and 6 cm in width, with a weight of 0.089 kg. Crafted from silver and finished with electric gold, it is decorated with gemstone, coral, and turquoise accents. The front presents Medicine Buddha at the center, surrounded by detailed filigree design, floral patterns, colorful stone settings, and a turquoise border. Fine curling metalwork fills the background, while small hanging ornaments at the bottom add further detail to the traditional Himalayan design.

This Medicine Buddha Ghau Locket shows Medicine Buddha on the front in a peaceful seated posture, with his right hand extending downward and his left hand resting near the lap holding a bowl, following his traditional healing iconography. When the hinged cover is opened, a second sacred deity figure appears inside the locket, seated at the center on a small decorative base and surrounded by detailed filigree work, coral, turquoise, and gemstone settings. The inner figure is richly decorated with a crown, ornaments, flowing details, and carefully worked facial features, creating a strong devotional focus within the small interior space. Around the deity, fine curling metal patterns fill the background, while colorful stone accents frame the figure and add depth to the design. The inside of the upper lid features raised sacred script arranged vertically on the gold toned surface, while the outer back of the ghau is decorated with a large central sacred inscription and smaller symbols placed on either side. The flower shaped outer form, turquoise edging, metal borders, and detailed hinge construction bring the front, inner section, and back together as one carefully made Himalayan devotional object.

This sacred ghau also has a decorated back featuring a large raised sacred inscription at the center, with smaller script symbols placed on either side. The flower shaped metal surface and turquoise edging continue the design around the back of the locket. Traditionally, a ghau is used to carry and protect sacred images, prayers, or devotional objects, making this piece suitable for prayer, meditation, travel, personal practice, or keeping near a Buddhist altar.
