Traditionally Hand Painted Medicine Buddha Art
We have originally hand painted the thangka of Medicine Buddha Art, also known as Bhaisajyaguru, in traditional Karma Gadri Style. We are the Kathmandu Valley artist whose artisan in making ancient thangka has passed through generations. In this Tibetan thangka, we have exquisitely painted using genuine 24k gold and painted with acrylic colors in cotton canvas. We have portrayed a deity on top of a moon disc lotus seat with a peaceful expression. He holds a vase with his left hand while he holds a medicinal herb in his right hand, making a gesture of earth touching. The vibrant halo illuminates his face, and the nimbus encircled by gold-plated design engulfs his presence. This traditional Vajrayana painting will be a tremendous meditational gift from Nepal to a practitioner like you.

The Lapis Healing Master is one of the most honored figures in the Buddhist pantheon. The sutras in which he appears compare his pure eastern land with the western paradise of Amitabha. Recitation of his mantra, or even the mere repetition of his holy name, is sufficient to grant release from the lower realms, protection from worldly dangers, and freedom from untimely death. In one of the main sutras concerning the Medicine Buddha, Shakyamuni tells his close disciple and attendant Ananda.
