Note: Manjushri Thangka with Chenrezig and Vajrapani is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.
Manjushri is Calm, Graceful, and Melodious, and he encompasses all of the buddhas' unfathomable wisdom. Manjushri emptied the Kathmandu Valley in Nepal, making it habitable for humans and distributing the Buddha's teachings.
Vajrapani is the expression of all of the buddhas' unlimited power and the first meditational god in this series to be represented in a wrathful form, carrying a Diamond Scepter. He knows the third eye on his forehead, and flames of wisdom energy flow from every pore of his massive body.
Chenrezig is the earthly manifestation of Amitabha, the everlasting Buddha, whose image is represented on his hat. Between the departure of the historical Buddha, Gautama, and the emergence of the future Buddha, Maitreya, he guards the earth.
