About Our Product
This Lord of Death Yama Dharmaraja Statue is a sacred Tibetan Buddhist protector sculpture crafted from a copper body with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic color work. Measuring 25.5 cm in height, 17.5 cm in length, and 9.5 cm in width, with a weight of 2.07 kg, this statue represents the powerful protective energy of Yama Dharmaraja, a revered Dharma protector in Vajrayana Buddhism. Designed for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, and sacred collections, it reflects the intricate artistry and spiritual symbolism of Himalayan craftsmanship.
The statue depicts Yama Dharmaraja in his wrathful form, standing astride a prostrate water buffalo, symbolizing his triumph over death, ignorance, and negative forces. He holds a bone stick (danda) in his right hand, representing the power to subdue and destroy ego, while his left hand holds a coiled lasso, symbolizing the binding and control of beings trapped in delusion. His fierce expression, horned crown, flaming halo, dynamic posture, and elaborate ornaments represent the powerful energy of enlightened protection. The 24K gold plating, acrylic color details, and intricate copper craftsmanship highlight the traditional iconography of this revered Dharma protector.
In Tibetan Buddhism, Yama Dharmaraja is honored as a guardian of the Dharma and a manifestation of enlightened awareness that transforms fear and negativity into wisdom. His practice is associated with protection, overcoming obstacles, and understanding the impermanent nature of existence. Displayed in a sacred space or meditation area, this gold plated Yama Dharmaraja statue serves as a reminder of fearlessness, spiritual strength, transformation, and the protective power of enlightened compassion.
Introduction To Yama Dharmaraja
Yama Dharmaraja is a Tantric Buddhist - wisdom deity - protector of the Method Class (father) of Anuttaryoga Tantra specifically used by those engaged in the practices of the Vajrabhairava Tantra. Both Vajrabhairava and Yama Dharmaraja are wrathful emanations of Manjushri - a bodhisattva in Mahayana literature but a tantric deity equal to a Buddha in Vajrayana Buddhism.
