Life of Milarepa Thangka For Meditation Practice

The Life of Milarepa Thangka is artistically hand-painted on a cotton canvas using natural stone colors. Here in the thangka, we have depicted Milarepa in the mountain caves, seated on animal skin, having a calm expression. His left-hand holds a skull cup, while his right hand is raised to his right ear in a listening gesture. The practitioner feels pleased because the cave is surrounded by stunning green foliage and red flowers. Since his tremendous compassion prompted Bodhicitta and pushed him to reach Buddhahood to benefit all sentient beings, his life embodies the ideal Bodhisattva.
