About Our Product
This Historical Siddhartha Gautama Sculpture beautifully honors the life and enlightenment of the historical Buddha, whose teachings continue to inspire millions on the path of wisdom and compassion. Handcrafted by skilled Nepali artisans, this sacred sculpture measures 22cm in height, 10cm in length, and 9.5cm in width, weighing 0.91kg. Expertly fashioned from a copper body with an elegant electro gold plated finish and vibrant acrylic colors, every detail reflects the refined artistry of traditional Himalayan craftsmanship. Its serene presence makes it an ideal centerpiece for Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, temples, or spiritual home décor.
Siddhartha Gautama Statue is really noteworthy. The uplifted hand indicates the bhumisparsha mudra, or earth-touching gesture, which symbolizes Siddhartha's call to the earth during his enlightenment. His peaceful look, with eyelids slightly closed, represents inner tranquility and spiritual understanding. The oxidized copper material emphasizes the simple yet profound character of his teachings, reminding us of the value of meditation, mindfulness, and the path to enlightenment.
Introduction of Siddhartha Gautama
Siddhartha Gautama, born as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom, was raised as a king according to his royal father's wishes. Around the age of 29, he encountered immense human suffering during a visit to a sickhouse. He then renounced his lavish lifestyle, clothing, and fortune to discover the source of this anguish and find a remedy. After more than six years of study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he finally achieved his goal, attaining nirvana (becoming a Buddha). Following this enlightenment, he declared that he had visited a deer park outside Varanasi, specifically Sarnath (Benares), India.
