This Historical Buddha Shakyamuni Figurine portrays Shakyamuni Buddha in a serene seated meditation posture. Measuring 8 cm in height, 5 cm in length, and 3.5 cm in width, with a weight of 0.13 kg, the sculpture is crafted from a copper body with 24K gold plating and acrylic color. Buddha is shown seated upon a decorated lotus pedestal, with his right hand lowered toward the earth in Bhumisparsha Mudra, the gesture associated with his enlightenment. His left hand rests calmly in his lap, supporting the composed and contemplative appearance of the figure.
The peaceful facial expression, elongated earlobes, and ushnisha reflect traditional representations of Shakyamuni Buddha. His simple monastic robe is modeled with flowing folds across the body, while the 24K gold-plated surface highlights the form and fine sculptural details. Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was raised to be a monarch in accordance with the goals of his royal father after being born as the powerful Shakya Kingdom's crown prince. But when he was approximately 29 years old, he became aware of the excruciating suffering endured by humans. He gave up his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and wealth to learn the causes of this suffering and how to put an end to it. He succeeded in his goal after nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and intense focus. He was now fully enlightened (a Buddha). On the outskirts of Varanasi, he claimed to have been to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India.
