Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha, is depicted here in the Bhumisparsha Mudra, touching the earth with his right hand, symbolizing the moment of awakening beneath the Bodhi tree. The lotus pedestal represents purity and spiritual growth, while the flowing robes and peaceful features reflect compassion and wisdom. This statue draws inspiration from centuries of Himalayan Buddhist artistry, connecting practitioners to the teachings and legacy of the Buddha. Displaying this figure is a way to honor mindfulness, meditation, and the path to inner peace.
Place this statue on your altar, desk, or shelf to encourage reflection, mindfulness, and spiritual focus. The compact size and detailed design make it easy to incorporate into any space, while the gold-plated finish and hand-painted details highlight its sacred quality. Ideal for collectors, meditation practitioners, or anyone seeking a tangible connection to Buddhist teachings, this Shakyamuni Buddha statue inspires calm, devotion, and a reminder of the path to enlightenment.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama, born the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom, was raised as a king according to his royal father's wishes. Around age 29, he became aware of humanity's profound suffering. He then renounced his lavish lifestyle, opulent attire, and fortune to seek the source of this anguish and find a remedy. After more than six years of dedicated study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he finally achieved his goal, attaining nirvana and becoming a Buddha. Following this enlightenment, he taught in a deer park near Sarnath (Benares), outside Varanasi, India.
