About Our Product
This Historic Sage Shakyamuni Buddha Statue represents Shakyamuni Buddha, the awakened teacher who revealed the path of wisdom, compassion, and liberation. Crafted from a copper body with an electro gold-plated finish, the sculpture portrays the Buddha seated peacefully upon a simple base in the traditional meditation posture. His calm expression, curled hair, elongated ears, monastic robes, and carefully detailed ornaments reflect the classical iconography of Buddhist sacred art.
The statue depicts Shakyamuni Buddha in the Bhumisparsha Mudra (earth-touching gesture), with his right hand reaching toward the earth as a witness to his enlightenment beneath the Bodhi Tree. His left hand rests in his lap holding a alms bowl, symbolizing simplicity, renunciation, and the disciplined life of a monk. This gesture represents the moment when Siddhartha Gautama overcame inner obstacles and attained awakening through deep meditation and realization of truth.
This Historic Sage Shakyamuni Buddha Statue is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, monasteries, shrine rooms, and sacred collections. Its traditional form, copper craftsmanship, electro gold-plated surface, and serene presence make it a meaningful representation of the Buddha’s teachings, reminding practitioners of mindfulness, wisdom, inner peace, and the journey toward enlightenment.
Introduction To Shakyamuni Buddha :
Siddhartha Gautama was raised to be a monarch in accordance with the goals of his royal father after being born as the powerful Shakya Kingdom's crown prince. But when he was approximately 29 years old, he became aware of the excruciating suffering endured by humans. He gave up his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and wealth to learn the causes of this suffering and how to put an end to it. He succeeded in his goal after nearly six years of study, self-deprivation, and intense focus. He was now fully enlightened (a Buddha). On the outskirts of Varanasi, he claimed to have been to a deer park in Sarnath (Benares), India.
