This Himalayan Butter Lamp Set is a pair of Tibetan offering lamps made for meditation, puja, and Buddhist altar practice. Each lamp measures 15cm in height and 11cm in diameter, with a 7.5cm base and 4.5cm inner depth. The single weight is 0.41kg, and the total set weight is 0.83kg. Made from white metal and brass, the lamps have a bright silver-toned body with warm brass accents along the rim and base.

This butter lamp Set features a wide offering bowl with engraved floral patterns and fine Himalayan scrollwork around the outer surface. The brass rim frames the upper cup, while the central stem supports the bowl with a traditional ritual shape. The traditional practice of preparing a butter lamp starts by washing one’s hands, wearing a mask to protect from contaminating the butter lamp through one’s breath, making the wick out of pure cotton, and cleaning the chalices with a clean piece of cloth reserved for this or fresh mosses from the trees, which were commonly used in old times. The entire process is a meditative spiritual practice that engages a person both physically and mentally, provided the person knows and practices it in accordance with established norms.
