About Our Product

This Himalayan Buddhist Manjushri Sculpture is a finely handcrafted representation of Manjushri Bodhisattva, the embodiment of transcendent wisdom in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. The sculpture features a copper body finished with 24K gold plating, detailed acrylic painting, and decorative turquoise and coral gemstones. The gemstones are incorporated into the crown, jewelry, and ornaments, adding vibrant accents to the radiant gold surface. The elaborate crown, celestial jewelry, flowing scarves, lotus throne, and finely modeled features reflect the traditional craftsmanship of Himalayan Buddhist sculpture.

The figure is depicted seated upon a lotus throne while raising the flaming sword of wisdom (Khadga) in his right hand. The sword represents wisdom that cuts through ignorance, confusion, and delusion. In his left hand, he holds the stem of a blooming Utpala lotus, upon which rests the Prajnaparamita Sutra, the Perfection of Wisdom Scripture. The lotus symbolizes the blossoming of enlightened understanding, while the sacred text represents profound wisdom and realization. The elaborate crown is adorned with turquoise and coral details, complemented by gemstone-decorated necklaces, earrings, and other ornaments that emphasize the sacred character of the sculpture.

This Manjushri Sculpture is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, shrine rooms, monasteries, spiritual collections, and Himalayan sacred-art displays. As the Bodhisattva of wisdom, Manjushri is traditionally associated with learning, insight, clarity, and the development of profound understanding. The combination of detailed iconography, copper craftsmanship, gold finishing, acrylic colors, and gemstone ornamentation makes this sculpture a distinctive representation of Himalayan Buddhist sacred art.

Introduction of Manjushri

In Sanskrit, Manjushri means'very auspicious.' He is one of the most compassionate bodhisattvas and is particularly famous among Tibetan Buddhists. As the Buddha Resplendent, he resembles a brilliant sun. Manjushri is also a Tibetan name meaning 'good companion.' He also represents the Kadampa Buddhist tradition, recognized by its scholars.
