This handcrafted Healing God Medicine Buddha statue, made from pure copper with 24K gold gilded, embodies the Buddha of Healing and Medicine in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. This Statue is sitting at Size 6.1”/15.5cm (Height) x 3.9”/10cm (Base) Weight: 0.76 kg. This statue has an oxidized body too. Crafted by expert Nepalese artisans, this sacred item embodies the rich traditions of Himalayan Buddhism, making it an important addition to altars, meditation areas, or sacred collections.
The Medicine Buddha is depicted holding an alms bowl in which a healing portion is believed to be found. In his right hand he carries a myrobalan plant, a medical herb that represents his capacity to heal physical and spiritual illnesses. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
