Introduction of Box

In Buddhism, the rationale for hiding treasures was formulated when Padmasambhava discerned the future, a time when Tibetans would need unique teachings to navigate specific difficult periods. He therefore devised special Buddhist practices and scriptures for those times and established the circumstances for their revelation. This involved designating some of his disciples to reveal these teachings in a future lifetime. Padmasambhava then uttered an empowering prophecy about this future revelation and proceeded to hide the teachings so they would not be available until the proper prophesied moment.

Today, the treasure box is used for various purposes. One can use it to set up and do meditation or as a decorative item for meditation spaces. Some Treasure boxes even have different chambers for specific things.
