About Our Product:
This Handmade Medicine Buddha Buddhist Statue is a beautifully crafted copper body with 24K gold plating and acrylic color detailing. Standing 16cm tall and 11cm wide, this statue embodies peace, healing, and spiritual well-being. Weighing 0.8kg, it is a substantial addition to any altar, meditation space, or sacred area, serving as a powerful symbol of health, compassion, and mindfulness.
The Medicine Buddha is depicted holding an alms bowl, in which a healing portion is believed to reside. In his right hand, he carries a myrobalan plant, a medical herb that represents his capacity to heal physical and spiritual illnesses. His right arm has an exquisite carving of one of 8 auspicious symbols (Endless Knot). This symbolizes Samsara, the endless cycle of suffering within Tibetan Buddhism, which includes the chain of birth, death, and rebirth. His tranquil visage and powerful aura exude deep compassion and serenity, promising protection and well-being to those who seek his blessing.
Introduction of Medicine Buddha
Medicine Buddha, also known as Bhaishajyaguru in Sanskrit, is revered as the Buddha of Healing. His teachings focus on freeing sentient beings from sickness, pain, anguish, and unhappiness, while also promoting prosperity and enjoyment in this life. Many meditators in the Mahayana tradition admire his healing abilities. He is often depicted with a blue (lapis lazuli) body, holding a begging bowl and medicinal herbs in his hands.
