About Our Product
This Handmade Himalayan Kadampa Stupa is meticulously crafted from a copper body with gold plating, making it a striking addition to any meditation altar or sacred space. Standing 12.5 cm tall with a 6.5 cm width, the stupa embodies elegance and spiritual resonance. Its layered structure and fine detailing reflect traditional Himalayan craftsmanship, creating a focal point that enhances the serenity and sanctity of your sacred environment.
The stupa holds deep spiritual significance in Buddhist practice, symbolizing the enlightened mind and the path toward awakening. Each element of its design from the rounded base to the conical spire is imbued with meaning, representing the five elements and the stages of enlightenment. Placing this stupa on an altar serves as a reminder of spiritual discipline, mindfulness, and devotion, fostering an atmosphere of reverence and clarity during meditation or ritual practice.
Beyond its symbolic meaning, this Kadampa Stupa functions as a sacred decor piece that harmonizes with any altar or shrine. Ideal for practitioners, collectors, or as a thoughtful gift, it encourages contemplation and inner peace. The gold-plated copper finish reflects light subtly, adding warmth and a sense of divine presence, while its compact size makes it suitable for personal altars, meditation rooms, or ceremonial displays.
Introduction To Stupa :
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
