The detailed artistry and luminous gold finish enhance its sacred presence, offering both spiritual inspiration and artistic beauty.
Special
Shakyamuni Buddha, known initially as Siddhartha Gautama, was the historical founder of Buddhism. Born in ancient Nepal, he renounced a princely life to seek the path to end suffering. Through deep meditation and rigorous practice, he attained full enlightenment, or Buddhahood, and shared his profound insights in the form of the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path. He is revered as the Awakened One, who illuminated the path to liberation for all beings.
Introduction of Shakyamuni Buddha
Siddhartha Gautama was born as the crown prince of the powerful Shakya Kingdom, raised to be a king according to his royal father's wishes. However, around age 29, he became aware of humanity's immense suffering. He renounced his opulent lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to uncover the source of this anguish and find a cure. After over six years of dedicated study, self-denial, and intense concentration, he finally achieved his goal, attaining nirvana and becoming a Buddha. Following this, he stated that he had visited a deer park outside Sarnath (Benares), Varanasi, India.
