About Our Product

This Handmade Chundi Goddess Statue presents Chundi, also known as Cundi, as a revered Buddhist goddess associated with wisdom, compassion, and spiritual practice. Crafted from oxidized copper, this sculpture measures 16.5cm in height and 10cm in width, with a weight of 1.27kg. The goddess is shown within an ornate arched backdrop, surrounded by smaller sacred figures that add depth to the composition. Her calm face, detailed crown, jewelry, and many arms create a traditional Himalayan Buddhist appearance, while the aged copper finish gives the piece a distinctive handcrafted character.

This Chundi Goddess is carefully detailed with many hands, each showing a mudra or holding a sacred object. Her central hands are joined in the Anjali Mudra, a prayer gesture that represents devotion and respect. The other hands hold different ritual objects, including a sword, lotus, vajra, and other sacred implements connected with wisdom, compassion, protection, and overcoming obstacles. The raised hands extend around her body in an even arrangement, while the lower hands complete the sacred composition. Her detailed crown, ornaments, peaceful face, lotus seat, and the smaller Buddhist figures around her add to the traditional Himalayan Buddhist design. Chundi is known in Buddhist art in several forms, including an eighteen armed form, so the exact arrangement of attributes can vary between sculptures.

This Chundi Goddess Statue is suitable for a Buddhist altar, meditation space, prayer room, or Himalayan art collection. It can be used as a devotional representation for contemplation and Buddhist practice, while its detailed copper craftsmanship also makes it a meaningful piece of traditional Nepalese Buddhist art. The compact size allows it to be displayed alongside other Buddhist deities and sacred objects on a shrine or meditation altar.

Introduction to Cundi
It is widely acknowledged that the Bodhisattva Tsundri, often named Cundi or Zhunti, has a high spiritual standing. As she assists us in achieving the Samadhi of Spiritual Power of Transformation of Ocean and Space, she is the Bodhisattva. She is said to be the authentic incarnation of the World-Honored One. The Cundi Guan Yin is another name for the Bodhisattva Tsundri.  The "Goddess of the Seventy Million Buddhas" is another term practitioners refer to her.
