About Our Product

This Namgyal Chorten Stupa measures 33 cm in height and 17.5 cm in both length and width, with a weight of 1.37 kg. Made from copper with a gold plated finish, the piece is covered with detailed floral carvings, beaded borders, sacred patterns, and carefully worked decorative elements. The smooth gold plated areas are balanced with richly carved sections, giving the stupa a refined traditional appearance suitable for Buddhist altar and spiritual display.

This Namgyal Chorten Stupa features a small finial above a crescent and circular ornament, followed by a tall stepped spire framed by decorative side elements. The rounded central body is decorated with floral carvings, beaded lines, and protective face motifs, while the front has an arched opening that can hold small sacred objects, prayers, or blessed items. Below the main body are several stepped levels with repeated ornamental panels, leading to a broad square base finished with lotus inspired borders and carved patterns. In Tibetan Buddhism, the Namgyal Chorten is connected with victory over obstacles, long life, merit, protection, and the path toward awakening.

This Handmade Buddhist Namgyal Chorten Stupa can be used for altar placement, meditation, prayer, ritual practice, monastery display, Dharma centers, home shrines, or sacred spiritual decor. Its open central chamber, detailed gold plated surface, and traditional chorten form make it a meaningful piece for Buddhist practice, devotional display, and the keeping of small sacred items.

Introduction of Stupa

Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
