This Samantabhadra statue features Samantabhadra together with his consort, Samantabhadri, seated in a close embrace. Samantabhadra is the primordial Buddha in the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and represents pure awareness, the original awakened state, and the true nature of mind. His consort Samantabhadri represents wisdom, emptiness, and the open nature of reality. Samantabhadra sits peacefully in meditation while Samantabhadri embraces him with her arms around his head and shoulders.
