About our Statue:
This Handcrafted Oxidized Copper Shakyamuni Buddha Sculpture is a finely crafted representation of the historical Buddha, created from an oxidized copper body with traditional Himalayan metalworking techniques. The sculpture depicts Shakyamuni Buddha seated in a peaceful meditative posture, with carefully shaped robes, serene facial expression, and detailed craftsmanship throughout the figure. The oxidized surface gives the statue a deep, antique-inspired appearance that highlights the refined details of the carving.
Shakyamuni Buddha is shown seated in meditation with his hands resting in the Dhyana Mudra, symbolizing concentration, inner peace, and the state of deep contemplation that led to enlightenment. His calm expression, monastic robes, and composed posture represent the simplicity and wisdom of the Buddha’s teachings. The detailed folds of the robe and balanced seated form reflect the traditional iconography followed in Buddhist sculpture.
This Shakyamuni Buddha Sculpture is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation spaces, study rooms, and collections of Himalayan art. Its compact size makes it ideal for personal shrines or as a meaningful display piece, representing mindfulness, wisdom, and the enduring legacy of Buddhist teachings.
Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha:
Shakyamuni Siddhartha Gautama was the original name of the Buddha. Only when he became the Buddha was he given the name Shakyamuni. Buddha means "awakened one" in Sanskrit. In his left hand, he carries an alms bowl filled with three priceless nectars, signifying his victory over the three demons of uncontrollable death, polluted aggregates, and delusion.
