Introduction of Laxmi
Laxmi, primarily known as a Hindu deity, is also highly revered in Tibetan Buddhism, where she is known as Pal Lhamo (Shri Lakshmi). She is considered a peaceful manifestation of Shri Devi Dudsolma, the primary female guardian of Tibetan Buddhism and Lhasa, Tibet. In contrast, her other manifestation, Shri Devi Magzor Gyalmo, is seen as a wrathful guardian. Artwork depicting Shri Lakshmi is often associated with the Gelug Tradition of Tibetan Buddhism and is believed to have emerged after the 17th century. Lakshmi, a major deity in Hinduism, is known as Mahalakshmi, Padmavati, Shri, and Bhoodevi, among others. She is regarded as one of the feminine cosmic energy's aspects, symbolizing 'rajas' (the element of fertility, richness, and activity within the universe).
