About our Bhumba:
This magnificent Himalayan Rice Offering Pot is a traditional Tibetan ritual vessel used to hold sacred offerings during puja, altar rites, and shrine preparations. This ceremonial pot is carefully handmade from a copper body, decorated with filigree work, and finished with dazzling gold plating. Its conical lid and spherical body are adorned with coral and turquoise stones, which symbolize plenty and spiritual wealth.
With a height of 17cm, a width of 11cm, and a weight of 0.52kg, this pot attracts attention while remaining balanced and elegant. Every aspect, from the delicately coiled metalwork to the balanced gemstone placement, displays excellent Himalayan craftsmanship and a deep appreciation for Buddhist ceremonial art. Whether used as a rice donation or a symbolic centerpiece, it adds beauty and spiritual depth to any religious setting.
This Tibetan rice offering pot is ideal for practitioners, collectors, or anyone who wants to create a meaningful altar. It reminds them of kindness, ritual devotion, and spiritual purification.
Introduction To Bhumba :
Water is essential in both Hindu and Buddhist rites, and it is always present on the altar, either in a pricey pot or in another container. Bhumba is a pot shaped like a flat jar, featuring a pipe to draw out the water from the pot, which is elaborately embellished with valuable stones and metal.
How to set up your own Buddhist Shrine?
• Find a clean, quiet, and uncluttered spot.
• Set up an altar table, and cover it with an altar cloth that calls to you.
