About Our Product
This Handcrafted Enlightenment Chorten Stupa is made with a copper body, gold plated finish, and gemstone details using coral and turquoise accents. It measures 32.5cm in height, 18cm in length, and 18cm in width, with a weight of 1.47kg. As a Tibetan spiritual symbol, this stupa represents enlightenment, awakened wisdom, protection, and the sacred presence of Buddhist teachings.
This stupa features a sun and moon finial above a lotus crown and tiered spire, symbolizing awakened wisdom and the path to enlightenment. The curved side ornaments are decorated with turquoise and coral stones, adding beauty and sacred meaning. The center is surrounded by floral designs, while the stepped base is decorated with carved panels, beaded borders, and gemstone details on the front and sides. The turquoise and coral stones symbolize protection, healing, strength, and spiritual balance in Himalayan Buddhist tradition.
This Enlightenment Chorten Stupa can be placed on a Buddhist altar, meditation table, shrine room, or sacred home space. It is meaningful for daily puja, prayer offerings, blessing rituals, Dharma practice, and peaceful reflection. The coral and turquoise details add traditional Himalayan beauty while supporting the stupa’s spiritual meaning of wisdom, compassion, protection, and the path toward enlightenment.
Introduction of Stupa
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.
