Amitayus, the Buddha of Infinite Life, represents the divine attributes of longevity, vitality, and spiritual abundance. His serene expression and gentle gaze convey infinite compassion for all sentient beings. Seated in vajra posture atop a blooming lotus throne, he holds a kalasha—a sacred vase of longevity—filled with the nectar of immortality, symbolizing enduring health and the essence of eternal life. His hands rest in the dhyana mudra, a gesture of deep meditation and inner tranquility. Crowning his head are the Five Dhyani Buddhas, each embodying a facet of transcendent wisdom: mirror-like clarity, equality, discernment, perfect action, and the realization of ultimate truth. The ushnisha, or crown protuberance, marks his enlightened awareness and spiritual mastery. As one of the Three Long Life Deities—alongside White Tara and Ushnishavijaya—Amitayus plays a vital role in meditative practices that nurture healing, replenish the life force, and support long-lasting well-being.
