Traditionally Hand Painted Guru Sangey Thangka
This thangka portrays Guru Sangey along with eight Padmasambhava manifestations. In our painting, we have depicted him sitting on a moon-disc lotus seat, surrounded by other deities and Buddhas, and holding a vase in his left hand and a vajra in his right. From left to right, he sits beneath the deities Lodan Chokse, Urgyan Dorje Chang, Samanthabhadra, Shakya Senge, and Pema Gyalpo. On either side of the lotus seat, he has two consorts: Mandarava is on the right, and Yeshe Tsogyal is on the left. Senge Dradog, Nyima Odzer, Pema Jungne, and Dorje Drolo are seen in the thangka beneath Guru Rinpoche, from left to right. You can use this Tibetan artwork in various auspicious Buddhist ceremonies, including your meditational activities.

Note: Guru Sangey Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio located at Boudha Stupa.
The Eight Manifestations of Padmasambhava shows his different abilities to manifest in many ways based on the specifications and demands of the time. In Tibetan, they are known as Guru Tsen Gyé, or the Guru's eight 'names;' each manifestation displays a different principle that reveals the mind's most profound essence. "Mind itself is Padmasambhava," Guru Rinpoche stated, "there is no practice or meditation aside from that."
Guru Padmasambhava is not only a fully enlightened Buddha, but he has also manifested as one of the greatest sages of the Vajrayana Buddhist world. He was born miraculously and served infinite beings for millenniums through the power of his wisdom and compassion. He manifested Zangdok Palri Pureland and remained there in the body of light.
Twelve years after the Maha Parinirvana of the Buddha, the rays of blessing light of the Buddha of Infinite Light touched a lotus in the Milk Ocean in the Southwest direction from Bodhgaya. As a result, Guru Padmasambhava was born miraculously in that lotus by "lotus birth" without human parents.
