About Our Product
This Guru Rinpoche Statue is a finely crafted Buddhist sculpture created from a copper body and adorned with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic colors. Measuring 35.5 cm in height and 23 cm in width, with a weight of 3.46 kg, the statue portrays Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, seated gracefully upon an ornate lotus pedestal. The sculpture features his distinctive lotus hat, peaceful expression, royal ornaments, flowing robes, and sacred attributes, reflecting the traditional artistry of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship.
Guru Rinpoche is revered in Tibetan Buddhism as the “Second Buddha” because of his profound role in establishing Vajrayana Buddhism in Tibet during the 8th century. Although he was not considered a Buddha who appeared after Shakyamuni Buddha, this title honors his extraordinary realization, teachings, and contribution in spreading the Dharma and tantric practices. According to Tibetan tradition, Guru Rinpoche subdued obstacles, established monasteries such as Samye, and transmitted teachings that became the foundation of the Nyingma tradition.
This statue depicts Guru Rinpoche holding the vajra in his right hand and a skull cup with a vase of immortality in his left hand, symbolizing enlightened wisdom, spiritual transformation, and the attainment of realization. His peaceful yet powerful presence represents protection, blessings, and awakened awareness. Displayed in a Buddhist altar, meditation room, or sacred collection, this handcrafted Guru Rinpoche sculpture serves as a meaningful reminder of compassion, wisdom, and the path toward enlightenment.
Introduction of Guru Rinpoche
In Tibetan Buddhism, Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, is revered as the Second Buddha. He introduced Vajrayana Buddhism to Tibet in the 8th century, establishing the foundation for spiritual practice in the region. Believed to appear in visionary encounters with tertöns, he empowers practitioners to access the hidden treasures of the Dharma. Devotees invoke his blessings through mantras like "Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum," which is said to dispel obstacles and foster spiritual growth. Guru Rinpoche’s teachings, particularly his 25 disciples and 108 manifestations, have profoundly influenced Tibetan Buddhist traditions.
