About Our Product
This Guru Rinpoche Statue is a finely handcrafted Buddhist sculpture created from a copper body and adorned with 24K gold plating and detailed acrylic colors. Measuring 34.5 cm in height and 25 cm in width, with a weight of 4.47 kg, the statue portrays Guru Rinpoche, also known as Padmasambhava, seated gracefully upon an ornate lotus pedestal. The sculpture features his distinctive lotus hat, peaceful yet powerful expression, elaborate robes, intricate jewelry, and sacred attributes that reflect the traditional artistry of Himalayan Buddhist craftsmanship.
Guru Rinpoche is revered as the “Second Buddha” in Tibetan Buddhism because of his extraordinary role in establishing Vajrayana teachings in Tibet during the 8th century. This title does not mean he appeared after Shakyamuni Buddha, but honors his profound realization, mastery of tantric teachings, and contribution to spreading the Dharma. Known as the Lotus-Born Master, Guru Rinpoche transformed obstacles into wisdom, established the first Buddhist monastery in Tibet at Samye, and became the foundational teacher of the Nyingma tradition.
This statue depicts Guru Rinpoche holding the vajra in his right hand, symbolizing indestructible enlightened wisdom, while his left hand holds the skull cup with the vase of immortality, representing spiritual transformation and the attainment of realization. His khatvanga staff rests beside him, symbolizing the union of wisdom and compassion and his mastery of tantric practices. Displayed in a Buddhist altar, meditation space, or sacred collection, this Guru Rinpoche sculpture serves as a powerful reminder of protection, blessings, wisdom, and the path toward enlightenment.
