Description

Hand Painted Tibetan Guru Rinpoche- Guru Padmasambhava Thangka

The Thangka of Tibetan Guru Rinpoche, also known as Guru Padmasambhava, was painted in traditional karma gadri style by our artist. His eyes are wide open in a piercing gaze, and his face is wrathful and smiling simultaneously. He cradles a khatvanga crowned with three decapitated heads and a trident in his left arm. He wears a lotus hat with a sun and moon on it, representing skill and wisdom. He holds a vajra in his right hand and a skull cup carrying the vase of immortality in his left.
