The Enlightened Buddha Guru Padmasambhava, Rainbow Body Thangka
The Enlightened Buddha Thangka portrays the golden form of Guru Padmasambhava with the rainbow highlights that seem to radiate from his body. The Thangka is created bright and joyful with the blue after filled with lotus and hills with different colored trees. He is picturized seated on a giant lotus of altering colors. The Thangka is painted with 24K gold and acrylics to define the actual attributes of the GREAT GURU. It exudes an aura of stupefying spirituality and reverence towards the Maha guru.

The rainbow body tradition dates back to the 8th century during the time of Guru Padmasambhava, where the rainbow body is attained by those who defied death through forms of ascension. It is achieved by those who perform meditation practice for ages and profound compassion for all beings.
