Hand-Painted Tibetan Dzambhala Thangka | Wealth Deity in His Golden Palace Surrounded by Four Guardian Kings & Sacred Attendants
One of the unique hand-painted masterpieces from our collection is this Grand Tibetan Dzambhala Thangka. It features deep acrylic colors combined with generous applications of genuine 24K gold, all painted on high-quality cotton canvas. The gold accents are applied to the throne, jewelry, and particularly to the grand golden palace in the background, which fills the entire composition with a luminous architectural presence. The dynamic interaction between the bold acrylic tones and reflective gold detailing results in an artwork that is rich in texture, depth, and sacred energy.
At the center sits Yellow Dzambhala, the deity of wealth and generosity, portrayed in a royal ease posture (lalitasana) atop a detailed lotus throne. His body radiates compassion and authority, painted in a warm golden tone. He is holding a citron fruit in his right hand, representing wealth and wish fulfillment. He has a mongoose in his left hand that spits out jewels, signifying his ability to end poverty and provide limitless wealth. His glance is both majestic and protective, embodying the enlightened quality of compassionate generosity.
The thangka is characterized by its horizontal composition, creating a scene that feels expansive and richly layered. The lotus base that serves as Dzambhala's seat is elevated and weaved into a magnificent palace structure, adorned with multiple layers of gold, floral patterns, and heavenly motifs. The palace's architectural detail, which is completely painted in dazzling gold, represents his divine kingdom, which is a place of prosperity, harmony, and spiritual fulfillment.
The Four Directional Wealth Guardian Kings, who support Dzambhala's realm and each protect a cardinal direction, are situated at the bottom. They are depicted in vibrant colors with their traditional attributes. Every figure is encircled by offerings and flames, emphasizing their function as ferocious guardians of wealth.
The thangka also features Namtose (Vaisravana) on the left side, Red Dzambhala with his consort on the top right, along with attendant figures, and offering symbols. These additional beings are harmoniously arranged around the central figure, creating a full assembly of divine support and sacred wealth energy. It is a spiritual environment, preserving authentic Buddhist iconography and providing practitioners with a visual portal into his sacred realm of protection, prosperity, and enlightened generosity.
