This Gold-Plated Shakyamuni Buddha statue stands 33.5cm tall and 24cm broad, weighing 4.02kg. The statue is made of copper and finished with bright gold plating. It depicts the Buddha in a serene meditative stance, with delicate decoration on his robes and a lotus base.  The gold plating heightens its holy presence, making it a significant focal point for meditation and devotional practice. Shakyamuni Buddha is portrayed in a peaceful, meditative pose with eyes gently lowered, embodying profound tranquility and awakened mindfulness. His right hand is held in the bhūmisparśa mudrā (earth-touching gesture), symbolizing the pivotal moment he summoned the Earth to witness his enlightenment. The left hand cradles an alms bowl, representing his renunciation and the simplicity of monastic life. Seated gracefully in the vajra posture on a lotus base shaped like a moon disc, Shakyamuni embodies spiritual stability, purity, and unwavering focus.

Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king in accordance with the wishes of his royal father and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29 years old, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune in order to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is completely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching with the bare hand objects can smudge the face, leaving scratches.

Consecration Service Available

Each statue contains a sacred chamber for mantra and relic fillings to bestow spiritual empowerment. During consecration, these sacred items are placed inside and blessed through traditional rituals performed by the ordained monks. There is a fee for this service, offered as a respectful contribution to the monastery.
