Made from a copper body, covered with gold coloring, exemplifying the skilled craftsmanship of Nepali artisans. Gautama Buddha, the enlightened sage and founder of Buddhism, is portrayed with serene composure, inspiring peace and wisdom. Gautama Buddha is depicted seated in padmasana on a lotus base, with his right hand in the bhumisparsha mudra (earth-touching gesture), symbolizing the moment of his enlightenment when he called the earth to witness his victory over Mara. His left hand rests gently in his lap, embodying meditation and spiritual balance. This pose reflects unwavering determination, awakening, and the triumph of wisdom over ignorance.

Shakyamuni Buddha, also known as Siddhartha Gautama, is the historical founder of Buddhism. Born as a prince in ancient India around the 5th to 6th century BCE, he renounced his royal life to seek the truth about suffering and the path to liberation. After years of meditation, he attained enlightenment under the Bodhi tree, becoming the "Awakened One" or Buddha. Shakyamuni taught the core principles of Buddhism, including the Four Noble Truths and the Eightfold Path, guiding beings toward freedom from suffering and the cycle of rebirth. Revered as the Dharma Teacher, his teachings form the foundation of Buddhist philosophy and inspire millions worldwide on their spiritual journey.

Introduction to Shakyamuni Buddha :

Siddhartha Gautama was raised as a king by his royal father's wishes and was born the crown prince of the mighty Shakya Kingdom. When he was about 29, he learned of people's immense suffering. He renounced his palatial lifestyle, lavish clothing, and fortune to discover the source of the anguish and find a cure. After over six years of study, self-denial, and tremendous concentration, he finally achieved his objective. He had attained nirvana (a Buddha). He then asserted that he had visited a deer park outside of Varanasi, India's Sarnath (Benares).

How do you take care of your statues?

• Place them at room temperature, avoiding direct sunlight.
• Make sure that the area where your statue is placed is entirely free of moisture and dust.
• Place it at the highest place on your altar after being consecrated by a Lama/monks. The best practice is to keep them covered inside a glass cabinet.
• Do not use your bare hands or any objects with a rough surface to wipe the face. • Directly touching objects with the bare hand can smudge the face, leaving scratches.
