Full Gold 1000 Armed Lokeshvara Thanka
Introduction To The Thangka :
This majestic Full Gold Thangka depicts 1000-Armed Lokeshvara, also known as Avalokiteshvara, and is revered as the bodhisattva of compassion in the Buddhist tradition. With one thousand arms symbolizing his boundless compassion and ability to reach out to all sentient beings, Lokeshvara embodies the compassionate essence of the universe. Each hand holds a symbolic object, such as a lotus flower, rosary, or wheel of dharma, representing various qualities and aspects of enlightened activity.
Rendered entirely in pure gold, this thangka captures the divine magnificence of 1000-Armed Lokeshvara in stunning detail. The use of gold elevates the sacredness of the thangka, casting a luminous glow that radiates throughout the composition. Every brushstroke glistens with golden brilliance, enhancing the spiritual potency and beauty of Lokeshvara's form.
By meditating upon the image of Lokeshvara, practitioners can cultivate compassion, loving-kindness, and altruistic action, aligning themselves with the bodhisattva's compassionate ideals and aspirations. Lokeshvara's thousand arms symbolize his omnipresent compassion, offering solace and assistance to all beings in need.
