Sculpted on a copper body, the statue is fully gilded in 24k gold. Chenrezig, also known as Avalokitesvara, "One who looks with unwavering eye," is seated in a lotus seat with a calm expression. He has four arms. With his front arms, he holds a wish-fulfilling jewel. His upper left-hand holds a white lotus, while his upper right-hand holds the endless cycle of akashamala.
