About Our Product
This Enlightenment Chorten Stupa is a finely handcrafted copper sculpture featuring a gold-plated finish and gemstone decorations inspired by traditional Himalayan Buddhist architecture. The stupa showcases a multi-tiered chorten design with intricate carvings, ornamental patterns, and carefully placed gemstone accents throughout the structure. The copper body provides a detailed foundation for the elaborate gold finishing, highlighting the layered base, decorative panels, and elegant upper sections. The craftsmanship reflects the traditional artistry used in creating sacred Buddhist objects for altars and spiritual spaces.
The central shrine opening houses a sacred representation of Shakyamuni Buddha, the historical Buddha who attained enlightenment and shared the Dharma teachings. The Buddha figure is placed within an elaborately carved chamber surrounded by ornamental designs and gemstone details, creating a devotional focal point. The stepped base features a Vajra (Dorje) symbol, representing indestructible wisdom, spiritual strength, and the unchanging nature of enlightened awareness. Along with the decorative carvings and rising spire, these traditional chorten elements symbolize the path toward enlightenment, the presence of awakened wisdom, and the preservation of sacred teachings.
This Gold Plated Enlightenment Chorten Stupa is suitable for Buddhist altars, meditation rooms, shrine spaces, monasteries, spiritual collections, and traditional interiors. Its impressive size, gemstone detailing, and sacred inner Buddha representation make it a meaningful centerpiece for devotional environments. Combining architectural symbolism with Himalayan metal craftsmanship, this handcrafted stupa reflects the beauty and spiritual heritage of Tibetan Buddhist art.
Before Buddhism, great teachers were buried in mounds. Some were cremated, but sometimes they were buried in a seated, meditative position. The mound of earth covered them up. Thus, the domed shape of the stupa came to represent a person seated in meditation, much as the Buddha was when he achieved Enlightenment and knowledge of the Four Noble Truths. The base of the stupa represents his crossed legs as he sat in a meditative pose. The middle portion is the Buddha’s body, and the top of the mound, where a pole rises from the apex surrounded by a small fence, represents his head. Before images of the human Buddha were created, reliefs often depicted practitioners demonstrating devotion to a stupa.

The level of craftsmanship by the artisans with Evam Ratna is truly exceptional.. The photos on the website showcase these beautiful items, but the special quality of their presence is felt when beheld directly. When I opened the carefully constructed package and encountered the ghanta, vajra,, rupa, and damaru tassels directly, I was overjoyed. I could feel the heart and care that went into their creation.

The Manjushri statue I purchased is of very high quality and has tremendous presence on my altar, far exceeding my expectations. It was well packed and arrived surprisingly quickly. Evam Ratna kept me informed throughout the process and even shared additional photos before shipping to ensure I was aware that the statue had oxidized somewhat since the pictures on the site were taken (not an issue but really appreciate the transparency). Thanks again for the beautiful statue -- I'll be a frequent visitor to the website in the future!
The statue came in excellent condition! I was worried especially since I had it consecrated before shipping (which evamratna offers for a fee if you ask!) But the statue came perfectly. Also, it was way bigger than I anticipated which was a lovely surprise, because usually the statues come smaller than I thought when initially buying them. These statues are pricy, but I recommend having at least one in your collection if you can afford it. You’re also supporting local Nepalese craftsmen, and the price I find is reasonable for most people.
