The Enlightened Wisdom Tsongkhapa Set is a representation of Tibetan Buddhism's Gelug lineage, with Tsongkhapa and his two foremost disciples, Khedrup Je, and Gyaltsab Je. Tsongkhapa and Khedrup Je statues measure 12.8"/32.5cm (Height) x 9.1"/23cm (Base), while Gyaltsab Je measures 11"/28cm (Height) x 7.9"/20cm (Base) and weighs a total of 12.51 kg. These statues, meticulously carved from 24K gold gilded copper, are detailed with gold and acrylic paintings that radiate a spiritual and immortal aura.
We can see the highly revered Buddhist preacher, Tsongkhapa performing the 'Dharmachakra mudra,' a gesture representing the the master's role as a spiritual leader. The two disciples can be seen forming the 'Vitraka mudra,' discussion and transmission of the Buddha's teachings. Tsongkhapa and Disciples Statue represent Tsongkhapa, the founder of the Gelugpa lineage. Tsongkhapa is in the center of the three figures, surrounded by his two most important disciples. Gyaltsab Je was Lama Tsongkhapa's most famous student. He oversaw the building of Gaden Monastery (established by Lama Tsongkhapa) and was named its second monk after Tsongkhapa. After Lama Tsongkhapa's death, he became the Gaden Tripa, or "holder of the Gaden Throne," the Gelug tradition's head. Khedrup Je was a prolific author, writing fifty-eight treatises and numerous prayer books. His Holiness, the 14th Dalai Lama, uses an essential scripture on Kalachakra as the foundation for his Kalachakra Tantra empowerments.
