Handcarved Drolma Karmo bodhisattva of compassion is skillfully adorned with 24K gold gilding, accentuating her peaceful presence and spiritual essence. White Tara, also known as the Buddha of Mercy, is revered for her compassion, healing skills, and ability to extend life.
Mother Tara sits in a vajra stance on a moon disc lotus seat with one face and two hands, three eyes on her face, and one eye on each palm of her hands and feet, for a total of seven. In a very giving gesture (mudra), the right-hand rests across the knee. The left-hand holds the stem of a white lotus flowering near the left ear close to the heart. She dresses in silk gowns and accessories with a tiara, necklaces, gold, and jewels.
