Mother Tara sits in a vajra stance on a moon disc lotus seat with one face and two hands, three eyes on her face, and one eye on each palm of her hands and feet, for a total of seven. In a very giving gesture (mudra), the right-hand rests across the knee. The left-hand holds the stem of a white lotus flowering near the left ear close to the heart. She dresses in silk gowns and accessories with a tiara, necklaces, gold, and jewels.
