Dorje Drollo Thangka, One Of The Eight Manifestations Of Padmasambhava

Dorje Drollo is the wrathful emanation of Guru Padmasambhava~one of his eight manifestations. This Dorje Drollo thangka depicts him riding upon a wild, ferocious tigress amidst a blazing fire as she tramples upon a corpse. We have done this thangka following Buddhist text and iconography details to make sure it presents all the right attributes for your meditation practice.

Note: Dorje Drollo Thangka is an original painting from Enlightenment Studio, located at Boudha Stupa.

Dorje Drollo has a fiery expression, with three glaring eyes. His third eye represents his wisdom, creative insight, and clairvoyance. His skin is deep brown in color while his distinguishing mop of curly hair is an earthy yellow. He wears the same attire as Padmasambhava with the addition of a garland of fresh human heads and fine bone ornaments. He rides upon a wild, ferocious tigress amidst a blazing fire as she tramples upon a corpse. Dorje Drollo is in extreme wrathful form, his ceremonial dagger, phur pa is held in his left hand and his right-hand holds a Vajra raised above his head as if ready to strike.
