Chenrezig (also known as Avalokiteshvara) is a Buddhist bodhisattva who represents compassion and the aspiration to liberate all sentient beings from suffering. He is often depicted with multiple heads and arms to symbolize his ability to hear the prayers of all beings and help them simultaneously. Reciting his mantra and making offerings and prayers to him can inspire one to transform negative qualities into positive, selfless motivation to serve others.
